Stylish Motion Tracked Fly Over Tour of Cwm Idwal for the National Trust!
Guto Roberts, Cwm Idwal Warden for the National Trust got in touch with Stiwdio Franwen to see if we were able to take on the fairly advanced challenge of adding motion tracked pointers for key locations around the Cwm Ideal area using some GoPro footage he had.
Michael was keep to take this project on as he has a keen interest in motion graphics and camera tracking.
He met with Guto and watched the footage through taking careful notes of all the features and points Guto wanted to include in the project.
Michael then designed some attractive layouts to allow the name and height data to both animated and clearly displayed.
He then painstakingly tracked all of the many points Guto had requested and generated the animated name/height icons in their correct places, moving through the footage in 3D. He also added detailed key framing to animate the icons and achieve a 3D effect, placing the graphics more realistically in the scenes.[/box]
